This yogi’s story..

Once upon a time there was a girl who fell in love, with yoga..

After a very busy few months renovating, cleaning & creating. As we put the finishes touches to the studio & timetable, and prepare to open the doors to you all I wanted to tell you all my story. If you’d like to know, if not please feel free to skip straight to the classes 🙂

My yoga journey began whilst I was working full time as an RVN (Vet.nurse) in a busy charity hospital in Liverpool. I felt tired-all the time, I was out of touch with myself in many ways, and I didn’t have the tools to look after myself nor did I know where to look. I took my first yoga class & I was hooked. I felt so good. I began going to 2 classes a week, then 3, then before I knew it I was on my yoga mat every day. I felt motivated, energised & healthier-inside & out, I found the foods I was drawn to were lighter, more natural. And after a couple of years it was noted that my body shape had changed entirely. But, beyond & more importantly than all of that, I felt comfortable in my own skin & met some of the most amazing people through yoga. It was those people who supported & encouraged me to train to teach-to share my passion for yoga with others.

I began teaching alongside my FT job, just one class per week. The community steadily grew & I have loved to see how yoga has positively impacted those peoples lives. After 3 years teaching in gyms, the space reached capacity & I began to look for a space we could continue to grow & where my teaching could diversify. And so Mula Yoga was born.. I decided to create the space & took the biggest leap of faith of my life. Trust the Yoga.. I tell myself, and others, daily.

Looking ahead.. nobody knows what the future holds. And a yogi tries to live in the present as much as possible. But my hope for the studio is that we continue to build & support a yoga community in my home town, where like minded souls can come together & explore themselves, and stay connected to something bigger than the ‘self’. A dedicated yoga studio offering something for everybody. Because I truly believe that there is a style of yoga for everyone & we all need a little time set aside to just be.
